Red Delicious Apple

Red Delicious is one of the most recognisable apple varieties in the world, characterised by its striking deep-red elongated shape and five distinctive knobs at the base. These apples have a mild, subtly sweet flavour with soft, juicy flesh that makes them perfect for fresh eating and fruit platters. Grown in the apple-growing belts of Himachal Pradesh, Red Delicious apples are cultivated at elevations between 1200 and 2400 metres, giving them their characteristic bright colour and high anthocyanin content. Anthocyanins are powerful antioxidants found in the red pigment of the skin, linked to anti-inflammatory and cancer-preventive properties. These apples are an excellent source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and dietary fibre. They are low in calories, making them a wholesome guilt-free snack option. The skin is thick and glossy.
